This policy explains how Sidequest Studio, operated by Samantha Pronovost in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, handles information connected with this website and project inquiries.
Information you choose to share
When you contact me, you may share your name, email address, business details, project ideas, and preferred consultation times. Please share only what is needed for your inquiry, and do not include passwords, payment card details, or sensitive personal records.
How inquiries work
When you submit the inquiry form, your name, email address, inquiry type, and message are sent to Netlify Forms and stored in Sidequest Studio’s Netlify account. Netlify also processes technical information for delivery and spam prevention. Email notifications, when enabled, send inquiry details to my business Gmail inbox. If you choose a direct email link instead, your message is handled through your email provider and Gmail.
How information is used
Information you send is used to respond, discuss your needs, arrange consultations, prepare quotes, and carry out agreed project work. A project inquiry is not a subscription to marketing emails. Sidequest Studio does not sell your inquiry information.
Booking a consultation
Consultation buttons open an embedded Google Calendar appointment page after you click them. Booking details you enter there are processed by Google under its privacy policy and shared with Sidequest Studio to arrange your appointment. The embedded booking service is provided by Google; an optional link also lets you open it separately.
Browser storage and third-party services
The website uses session storage to remember whether you selected a consultation or another inquiry option. This stores the selected option, not your form entries, and normally clears when the browsing session ends. No advertising trackers or analytics scripts have been added to this website.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google to request those files, which can disclose connection information such as your IP address. Website hosting and email providers may also process technical information needed to operate their services. Their processing, storage locations, and retention practices are governed by their own terms and policies.
Keeping and protecting information
Inquiry and project correspondence may be kept for follow-up, project delivery, business records, or legal requirements. Retention depends on the purpose of the record; this website does not impose an automatic email-deletion schedule. No internet or email service can guarantee complete security.
Your questions and requests
You can ask what personal information I hold about you, request a correction or deletion, or withdraw consent for further optional use by contacting me. I will consider requests subject to applicable legal and recordkeeping requirements, and may need to verify your identity. Withdrawing information needed for a project may affect my ability to provide that service.
Links to other websites
Portfolio links may open third-party websites. Those websites have their own privacy practices. The screenshots displayed in this portfolio are static images and do not connect you to the featured website until you follow its link.
